I have been reading about, studying and researching this man since the late 1960's. With no internet back then, I had to find what little was in print on Nikola Tesla and that was not easy. Why was this genius just a footnote in our history? Working in electronics both in the US Air Force and AT&T, I ran across Tesla's inventions constantly, but all I could read about was Thomas Edison! As it turns out, Tesla once worked for Edison when he first came to the United States. They did not really get along and Tesla felt 'used' by Edison, so he went out on his own. We should all be very grateful to Edison for that happening, I might add. I want to present to the world a calm, warm picture of this genius without lightening bolts shooting all around him. Here he is circa 1898, and I hope I captured the inner man with this piece of art. Who knows, I may find other images of him that inspire me in the future. He certainly deserves all the attention he can be given.
